What Is Conversational AI? Zeroshot Bot CEO Jason Mars Explains
Entrepreneur Jason Mars calls conversation our 'first technology.'
Before humans invented the wheel, crafted a spear or tamed fire, we mastered the superpower of talking to one another.

That makes conversation an incredibly important tool.

But if you've dealt with the automated chatbots deployed by the customer service arms of just about any big organization lately - whether banks or airlines - you also know how hard it can be to get it right.

The Security Implications Of Convergence
Cyberattacks are a growing concern for businesses of all sizes. Since the early days of the commercial internet, companies have been trying to find ways to improve security.
It used to be that, security involved installing basic firewalls and intrusion detection systems. However, as networks and the Internet have become more complex and businesses have become more reliant on technology, keeping networks and systems secure has become more challenging.

Until recently, OT networks functioned as isolated, air-gapped environments. In critical infrastructure and production environments, availability has always been a higher priority than cybersecurity. But the emergence and growth of IT applications that analyze and manage real-time industrial environments have led to the convergence of OT and IT networks. This convergence exposes OT to the same cybersecurity threats that IT has dealt with for decades.

Using EPSS To Predict Threats And Secure Your Network
In the world of cybersecurity and threat intelligence, understanding what threats you might face next is critical to effectively securing your network.
The Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) has been a valuable tool in this fight because it highlights how exploitable different vulnerabilities are. And now, EPSS (Exploit Prediction Scoring System) can supplement CVSS by providing dynamic insight into the likelihood that a vulnerability will be exploited. It produces a probability score of a rational number between 0.0 and 1.0, and the higher the score, the greater the probability that a vulnerability will be exploited.

In this blog, I will review the CVSS scoring system used worldwide to prioritize software vulnerabilities. I will also highlight best practices for using CVSS at its full potential, which, unfortunately, few companies leverage.

Spinning Up Two Data Centers In 90 Days
How our software-defined storage strategy made it possible to expand our IT footprint in record time.
Over the past several years, Dell Digital, Dell's IT organization, has gained flexibility and efficiency as we created a modernized data center built on converged and hyper-converged infrastructure. We recently put our software-defined strategy to the test when we built two new data centers from scratch on opposite sides of the United States in just 90 days.

We faced an urgent need for added storage and compute capacity in the light of climbing data demand across Dell. Because we had built a simplified and scalable infrastructure foundation on a standardized set of software-defined building blocks, we were able to quickly spin up these data centers from zero to 100% to meet that burgeoning demand as well as provide for future storage and compute.

Team Liquid And Alienware Present: The Pro Lab
Team Liquid and longtime partner Alienware are launching The Pro Lab, a groundbreaking global training program.

Until now, professional esports training has been informed by disparate game-specific data and rudimentary KPIs. Team Liquid and Alienware saw this as an opportunity to develop an approach rooted in quantifiable game-agnostic data, focusing on cognitive skills synonymous with peak competitive performance such as anticipatory skills, divided attention, emotional regulation, automaticity and more. All Organizations Can Learn Lessons From The New Federal Zero Trust Strategy
U.S. cybersecurity officials have set their sights high for government networks. You could do worse than to follow their lead.
The race toward zero trust-driven cybersecurity is on for the U.S. federal government as a recent directive from the U.S. Office of Management and Budget set a deadline at the end of 2024 for all federal agencies to adhere to a new federal zero trust strategy as a way to strengthen cybersecurity in the government.

It's a sweeping architectural framework that many security experts believe could go a long way toward improving federal security postures-as long as agencies can make good on the requirements. The strategy also offers some strong lessons for private sector organizations plotting their own cybersecurity roadmaps.
